Aside from the obvious answer, "immersion" in the culture/language, from personal experience, what has been the most successful way for you to learn a new language? I have taken five years of Spanish and one year of Turkish in a classroom setting and I’ve learned a lot. But for French, Italian, and Latin I would like to try a different method of learning. Computer-based perhaps. If you have any personal experience or reviews of certain products, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese or Russian?

I’m planning on learning a new language I just want to know which one is the hardest and which one is the easiest. I have a fair Interest in all of the languages. Have any of you learned/learning any of these languages? Was it hard or mediocre?

I study illustration at the Academy of Art University in , I am torn between Italian and French. Italian is such a romantic language but I think I might get more use out of French, I dont know anyone who speaks Italian. I have to take a language anyway. What do you guys think?
