What is the easiest language to learn for english speakers?

I need to take a forgein langauage in college and i already have a full schedule as it is, so i want to take something easy. I know Spanish is suppost to be the easiest, but living so close to the boarder im pretty sick of the language. I was thinking either French or German, Ive heard theyre both pretty easy but keep getting different opinions. If anyone has learned the languages and have any advice please help.

What would you consider the strangest language?

Of all the wonderful and interesting languages the world over, what would be considered perhaps the strangest? Taking into account not just grammar and structuring but also even appearances and how it sounds when spoken. I guess this could be an opinion based question, but if there’s a majority in agreement that’ll be my new weirdest language.

If a major language is 50-60 million worldwide speakers or more, which major languages have the least amount of speakers who also have a strong or fluent command of the English language?

I’m planning on learning a new language I just want to know which one is the hardest and which one is the easiest. I have a fair Interest in all of the languages. Have any of you learned/learning any of these languages? Was it hard or mediocre?

What language should I consider learning if I go to Faeroe Islands?

Let’s say I go to Faeroe Islands to stay for awhile, or maybe even live (for instance), and I know they speak Danish and Norwegian there. Actually two questions. Is there an original Faeronese language, and out of these languages, which should I consider learning?
